I guess that's it.

I've just released a new game. It's called Dodge Tanks. There are not a lot of thing to talk about,.. you simply dodge tanks, and that's it... the core of it.
It's fun to play when you're doing nothing at all. But I can't really tell, because my days are now full. Nightmosphere Development, you know. I hope I can really bring that game to live, but it's taking a lot to finish it,.... maybe because I had to restart the project. But, oh well, the idea is still in my head and paper, so.... wish me luck...

HN - Morte Info

I've been so busy, that I made a music some days ago, and I wasn't even able to tell about it.
The music is called : HN -> Morte
Morte means "death" in Portuguese.
Maybe I am showing off a little bit of patriotism.... But what I really love is, well... of course... Japan :)

(Midi specifications coming soon...)

Finally I got the got the computer. But I have so many things to do right now, that I can't really write about it. The computer is great except that they lied about the touchscreen. At least this version tdoesn't have it (European???)...

Gurk for Android - Game Review

Sure you should call this nostalgia.

This is Gurk... whatever that means.
The whole game is nice, expect some controls annoyance.

This game is just another nostilgic RPG game. You have a 3-people party with their own characteristics. You have a warrior, shooter and wizard.
The map where you play is big. The map is something like a grid. You move some pixels by pressing the buttons below the game screen. Sometimes, hence the "control annoyance" part, they make the same action twice, because they are, well, Android buttons.

Graphics clearly want to resemble the legendary 8-bit era. Of cource, they could have made a full 3D game or 2D-HD game, but there's almost no nostalgia in there.
The map has multiple levels of height. Underground, for example. It has multiple underground levels. The Underground levels have this weird effect. Some "squares in the grid" disappear in order to create a dark-like feeling in the cave.

The game gives you the freedom to fully explore the game's world. It also as a Save Game Feature, but only let's you save in one GameSlot,.. well,... at least in my version.
One thing that makes you remember of the old games is the battle. You get to battle by simply walking. Like in Final Fantasy. Battles have this turn-based system.
Just like in Deadly Chambers 3D, this game has a grand variety of enemies. Big rock statues that move and attack, trolls, goblins, skeletons, etc. Sure they kick your ass, specially those annoying wizard troll-like guys. And yeah, if you are used to run away from battles like in Pokemon, well, my friend,.. you can't do such thing in this game. But you have a big amout of different weapons to collect so you can kill those guys. Still, those stupid wizard troll-like guys are smart enough to not move closer to my party.

Perhaps it was inspired by Ultima from NES.

Get this game on Google Play or something.

Deadly Chambers 3D for Android - Game Review

This is a great game.

Oh, well,... How will I start off?!
The game is just fun. It has a very weird comedy in it.
Just look at the face the character does at the start of a level...

The game was made by Battery Powered Games.
They also made other games for Android, but, they aren't as good as this one.
Your objective resumes into escaping. You have to kill "YOUR CAPTOR" to beat the game.

The music is just awesome. It is simple, but, maybe because of the looping while you play the level, it becomes addictive. Personally, the first, second and the last music are my favorites.
The amount of levels,... yeah,... it's not a lot at all. But at least you have a nice-looking map that resembles Castlevania. Now about comparing with Castlevania,... it kinda has that castlevania feeling... So, you have a level boss at the end of each level; you have to kill the evil guy that owns all level bosses; enemies vary from zombies, to weird four feet animal-like creatures.... They all do weird noises...
It feels like Castlevania, but only if you compare them. First time I didn't even notice it. Wow.

The weapons are great, so as the amount of them. I play this game for more than 5 months, and I still feel that there are a lot of weapons left. They are snipers, laserguns, rocket launchers, pistols, machineguns, shotguns.... Wow.... and wow, again.

Controls are preety clever. My finger feels nice with them. It's not like some games that have stupid controls. Yeah,... because you know; touchscreen has that advantage. The advantage of letting the creator make his own controls.

The game runs with OpenGL ES. Quite great, hun? Because, you know, I'm currently learning OpenGL...
It's not like the loading process takes about 5 minutes to load everything,... like that specific game: Duke Nukem Forever

The difficulties are simply,... 4. Easy, which is, well, easy; Normal, which is good for a beginner that is good at playing games; Hard, which should be played by people who already passed the whole game at least once; Deadly, which is just a whole other challenge.
Everytime you die, you're respawned to the beginning of the level, and, if the difficulty is set to Deadly, the enemy waves are restarted.

The viewing modes change between First Person to Over The Shoulder. The first person mode, as of my opinion, is good for level bosses, which might not require a lot of movement and is good to headshot them.

There are also achievements. There are tons of achievements and each time I do something incredible, I get rewarded with.... a nice message talking about my achievement...

Also... there's a funny celebration dance at the end of each level...

Yeah. You should check it out on Google Plus or any other stores online.
Also, if you want, follow these links:

HN - Mighty Rush Info

This music was originally made in July 20, 2013.
There was no original title... This music was inspired when I was trying to get inspiration :)
Yeah... I guess that's it... again...

MIDI Specs:
TRACK 1 -> Bass -> Acoustic Bass
TRACK 2 -> Bass -> Slap Bass
TRACK 3 -> Bass -> Synth Bass
TRACK 4 -> Bass -> Fretless Bass
TRACK 5 -> Bass -> Electric Bass (finger)
TRACK 6 -> Ensemble -> Synth Voice
TRACK 7 -> Brass -> Synth Bass 1
TRACK 8 -> Percurssive -> Synth Drum
TRACK 11 -> Synth Pad -> Pad 7 (halo)

Remember those stupid problems I was having with the "MIDI to MP3 conversion" with my music.
Dammit. They are finally resolved. So here's the thing::

I gone to the website that allows me to convert music files from midi to mp3. That great website is solmire.com.
So, after a lot of time trying the options and failing, I began to take it smart. I though something like this : "Well, maybe the instruments won't sound the same as of my mobile's because it is a mobile phone and doesn't have the same quality as computers." - Because, you know. I was smart enough to thing that the music would sound like my mobile's but better if I change the MP3 Quality to the max I could make. !!DUH, HELDER!!
So after being two steps from having enough of it, I got 90% of the result quality I wanted.
Sure I had to change some stuff in the mp3 convertion, but I also had to change some stuff with the original midi file.
Well, the midi file had some parts with instruments that weren't audiable by my phone. BUT!! It was audiable by the computer. So I edited the project file from the original Blood Gore file. Well. As far as I know,... Blood Gore was the only one I had to change. People... Don't listen to the midi files on your computer. Even though I saved some of the problem, the midi file can't be changed like the mp3. Well, if you check out the midi specs and what is midi, you'll notice that midi is just a bunch of commands. The computer, then, receives the commands and plays the music with the sound board. Meanwhile, the mp3 doesn't have the same characteristics. A mp3 file has a bunch of it's own binaries that are meant to be used by a mp3 player, as of software, because it is the data of a recording.
Remember that they are not 100%, or even 99.9%, the same as the original. The core and feeling of the music is only on the midi file, by being played by a sound board that equals to my mobile's.
It seems that the soundboard might be Fluid R3. But I am not sure....

Problems,... more problems,...

Well, the Software page has some serious problems.
If you download stuff from my blog, you'll notice that I changed from Zippyshare to Mediafire.
Well, Zippyshare deletes files that aren't downloaded for more than a month, thing that I didn't know when I started using it. Well, Zippyshare, as of my personal experience combined with my opinion, it sucks. It is free, downloads are at full speed, ads don't bother a lot, but it deletes you files. Since then, I changed to the Darkside of Mediafire. The experience as been great. Downloads are fast as Hell, you don't have to wait any kinds of stupid seconds to start download, you don't need any premium bullsh*t to download faster nor you have to log in to it or register. Mediafire also has a mobile app, which is how I use to upload stuff from my phone to computer. The only thing that miht bother is the GB limit. Just for downloading the mobile app, you'll get more GB. Well, Mediafire isn't a "download site", it's actually a cloud service,... well,... a great cloud service :) that enables you to share your files. Tons of websites have that feature, but Mediafire is great.
So, the problems part...
Zippyshare delete files that I had on my account. Those files include all Lemperyum ITC versions, People Fall game and TWars. Those are copies,... done when the "deleting file that's over a month with no downloads" part was unknown by me. The original files are on my computer. Problem is the fact that I don't now the state of condition of my hard drive. The original files might be fuc*ed in case... (keep reading)

You might be wondering... "Why?!. Why does Helder doubt about the condition of the hard drive?!"
Well... Here in Portugal the Hard Drive is called <<Disco Rígido>>, well, Disco means Disc and Rigido means Hard or Hard To Destroy. Well, some fashioned fellas, with their clever abverbiations, they simply call it Disco. So, the CD Player or DVD player or whatever is called as <<Leitor de CDs>> which means, word by word, CD Reader. But the same fashioned fellas call it,... you guess.... Disco... just like the hard drive.
So, the guy from the store simply said it was the, well, Disco. The computer's CD Player or whatever was a little bit broken. So I doubt what kind of Disco he was talking about.
Stupid way to say it. It's way better to say the full name. You know, it really annoys me how they like to shorten up words...

Fu*k obsession with shortening up tech words that make it confusing to distiguish...
Fu*k Zippyshare for it's stupid rules
Thanks a lot to MediaFire
Have a good day...

About my name

After randomly surfing around the Internet, I discovered a very interesting thing that had something in common with me.
It was the city of Den Helder. The city itselft has my name.
My curiousity rised to know more and better about Den Helder. Weirdly, it almost looks like a name of a person...
Wikipedia has very great info about it. Too bad I don't know Dutch because I was unable to read anything in the official site.
The city was a great for shipping in the Dutch Golden Age.
The city is in the Netherlands.
Apparently, people called that city Helledore , which means Hell's Door or Hell's Gate because the water between the city of Den Helder and and Texel, called Marsdiep, was so strong that many ships were lost.
The name Helder might have other meanings, but it's more likely that it comes from Helledore.
Well, yeah. I guess anyone who tries to brutly passes through me, meets Hell.
Just a fun research....
You can get more info on the Wikipedia page, if you know Dutch or have a magical translator you can go to the Oficial website.

Just wait a little bit...

So, the required money for the computer is coming, maybe this week. It is possible that I might only get it Novemeber, but probabilities say: It might be this Friday.
Sure it is good. The only thing that can stop me from buying Toshiba Satellite C55-A-121 is stock. I hope it doesn't get out of stock. There are a lot of other computers and it is somewhat good, in this case, that this country's economy is poor. Yes, I know. It it totally bad and unfriendly to say such thing. This country is in serious danger as of economy. But imagine having a computer in your imaginary wishlist, in 2nd place in my case, and then, when you're going to get the computer, you have to buy another one because your targeted computer is out of stock.
Toshiba Satellite is apparently quite good. I saw the Intel Benchmark, and it tells me that it is good for 3D Graphics performance and Performance in general.
I can actually show you a image from the Internet:
Sorry, but I can't tell the copyright info...

It is great if it is good in 3d graphics performance, because I am learning OpenGL.
The processor is good,... memory is 500GB,... everything is nice.
Plus, I don't know if I already wrote this, but I am going to buy it with Toshiba Stor.e Plus 500GB.
So together, it makes 1000GB of memory. It's great to save games, apps , movies and my favorite animes... OK, now I look like those publicity assfaces. :)

Gloomy Dungeons 3D for Android - Game Review

This is truly one of my favorite games for mobile phone.

I long time ago, I download a great looking game called Gloomy Dungeons 3D. I didn't even try the demo version, I jump directly to the full version. Everything was new. It was actually quite cheap. As far as I remember, it was 1 euro on Samsung Apps.

The gameplay really captured me. I felt that nostalgia feeling. First, I thought it was a VERY fast and smooth raycasting engine one Android, but then, I discovered, on Github, I think, that it was simply made with Game Maker.

It's a very well done job, even though the music was from Doom. Well, at least 2, I recognized.
The music, after simple searching about it inside the android apk file, I got to know that the music was pure MIDI. Great. I like MIDI.

The controls are good, as far as you really take a time to search about in the Settings menu. It as a lot of control types including Zeemote. The option deeply vary between Graphic's Gamma, Texture Mode, plus more.

OK, people... spoiler's coming... If you really want to see it, select the text. Weapons are: Pistol, Shotgun, Minigun/Chaingun, Super Something and Double Miniguns/Chainguns.

Playing it pixelated might be fun for a while,... smoothness gives the game a better spooky experience, in my opinion.

The developers are indie. True is, there's already Gloomy Dungeons 2, but in my personal opinion,... it's full of adware. See?! That's why I am affraid of ruining my blog with ads. Isn't it just bad when you go to a website and see tons of stupid ads popping-up on your screen, plus interactive ads slowing down the performance?!

(C)Copyright LemperyumSoftware 2013

About the new ads

I just don't want to ugly up this blog even more. But, Adsense is good. It sometimes gives nice images to the blog.
Well,... I need money.
It might actually be one of the most common phases in the world. Both in thought and speech.
But, it is true. I need money.. I really do.
Money is deadly wanted by this world's people.
People kill for money, people steal money, people sell for money,...
And I... Well... I have "free food", so my blog's revenue is a bonus to what I do. So as donations, but I don't want to take pressure on people...
Ads are good, at least for me...

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

Yes, sir! I am finally happy :):):):):):)

Yeah. Probabilities are huge. About 75% chances. It is apparent that it will be Toshiba Satellite C55-A-121 plus 500GB memory because the pack also includes Toshiba Stor.e Plus. It's a really good computer. I like it,... well,... love it. I was never a big Toshiba fan, though. Isn't it a good start for me with Toshiba?! Maybe you disagree with the fact that I consider that computer good.
Well, Windows 8 isn't my real favorite, even though i never had a computer with it, but,... well,... It's the most recent one. I don't Microsoft to close the support for the older ones.
Funny I was wishing to have a Windows 8 computer before my old but recent computer got fuc*ed. Until it got fuc*ed, so I simply stopped wishing it, and simply start wishing my computer back.
Well,... that's it. I can't wait for November... :)

Full of problems

Dammit. It's really hard to work with Midi for one simple reason,... it changes all the time. I listeneed to my mp3 converterd musics and they suck. I listen to the original midi in my computer and they kinda suck. Only the original Android version keeps the originality. I honestly don't know what to do...
I'll keep this blog updated for anything that happens about it. :)

Is it true?! I'm going to get a new computer?!
Apparently, yes. It's planned to be a Windows 8 computer, of me!!
It's not cheap, but isn't expensive. Basically, I'm lucky. My grandma is going to give it to me because she knows I'm nothing without a computer.
I honestly can't believe. It's hard to think. I always kept in mind that I was never getting far then Windows Vista, and when the crapshit got fuc*ed, I updated my mind by memorizing that I will never get more far then Windows Millennium Edition. I bet most people don't even know that such thing existes.

Well, I could write more details about the computer, but true is, I don't even have it, and it's possible that I'll change the targeted computer, although it's not very probable.

I hope I can get it as soon as possible. True is,... it's going to be this or next month :)

As you can see...

... I posted pages.
I was simply making another hidden page that would later be linked to a visible page, but I got a beautiful and simple message saying that there's a limit of 20 pages. I searched on the Internet and,... yeah,... I can totally understand Google :). So basically I posted all content in those pages, and changed the links to the posts. It took some time, but yeah,... what can you say... there's no limit for posts :).

HN - Blood Gore Info

This music was originally made in July 10, 2013.
The original title was -> HN - You Failed! - because I just failed to...
I got inspired to make this music when I failed to talk to a client in my grandma's hotel. Now I am just fine. It was that momment that made me totally look back at my life, again. True is, not even my blog views are good. Most come from Russia and US, and, I bet most US readers are some Google Guys checking out my content. If your checking out this blog for at least the 2º time, well then, thank you. Because, you know, sometimes I just feel that I am talkin g to nobody. Just writing some posts to a ghost reader. Yes, "probably-unreal-reader", I just called you a ghost. And, yeah, that's it... :)

MIDI Specs:
TRACK 1 -> Strings -> 040: Violin
TRACK 2 -> Brass -> Trombone
TRACK 3 -> String -> Contrabass

HN - As The Devil Hunts

This music was originally made in October 8, 2013.

The original title was ->> HN - Nerd Returns - because of my happiness.
I got really excited about the news.

MIDI Specs:
TRACK 1 -> Piano -> 004: Electric Piano 1

Histories Of Development #1 - People Fall

--BAL (Before a lot)--
I was tired of coding in other projects. I needed to get some sleep. So I thought in starting another one. I wrote a little note next to my computer saying:

C'mon Helder.
Writes your plans here.
Your ideas can't go from head to code. Don't forget to plan AFAP.
(I know. It seems weird. But sometimes I write note for the future Helder. :))

--Unknown Date--
I was needing ideas for a new game. UFO are stuff I really like. So as aliens.
I was, and I am, still addicted to Wolfenstein on my Xbox. So as Mortal Kombat. They both have something I really enjoy, Dark Magic. Sorcerers are awesome.

So... why not joining Sorcerers with UFOs?! No. First I joined Missiles with UFOs.

--Unknown Date--
I make my first plan for the game.

It's simple.
I think you can see that "enemies" were really first missiles, but then, they were changed to Sorcerer's Fireballs.
Those "$$" are meant to be points, but they were first planned to be cash.

--Unknown Date but right after the previous moment--
I begin my coding. Coded, coded, coded like Hell.

--Day 30/31 July, 2013--
I wrote a note to my future being:

PeopleFall game seems to be finished. Of cource, not 100%. Background and music are what's left. I'm not good at art nor music. There's a reason why I "only" a programmer. Tomorrow might be it. I can't stop imagining tons of gamers on Desura talking bad about it...
(I always hate my creations. I don't know if I'll try to publish to Desura. Maybe no.)

Super Street Fighter IV - 3D Edition - Game Review

I recently reviewed Street Fighter: The Movie, so, why not review my favorite Street Fighter game.

I remember buying this game with 2 more, Cubic Ninja, already reviewed, and Asphalt 3D, which I really like.

Remember me writing in the Street Fighter: The Movie review that I started loving Street Fighter with this game?!
That's totally true.

You know,... this game has something special in his core. There's a very great mood. Characters like M.Bison made me start being a great fan of them, so as Akuma, which is also one of my favorites. Everything they say, make or anything else, make me want to repeat to myself. (That must be the only time in the day that I do something physical)

The Music,... yes, it is great.
Music fits perfectly with the game.
The theme song, character select screen theme, Snowy Rail Yard theme (why do I most times love Russian music in videogames ?!),...

The Combos are somewhat simple compared to other games like Tekken or Mortal Kombat. But still, you need countless hours training your character because I believe you don't want to fight like a "noob".
Each character has it's own moves, and, yes, some of them have "hidden" Hadoukens in the movements list.

It's great to repeat the characters in real life. I'm not joking, I do that like Hell. Something like Gouken's "Tatsumaki Gorasen". Try saying that 3 times fast in a row. Or Akuma's "Prepare Yourself!...(If  successful) Die One Thousands Deaths!!!!"

When the fight ends you can clearly see shit in the screen. The winner does some stylish movement, and an effect is shown. Wait... what effect?! They tried making some pencil drawing kinda-like effect, but it came out shit. The lines of the border of the shown model start getting of track so much, that you'll have to think twice to see what they were trying to accomplish.

The Arcade Edition and Xbox/Playstation Edition, besides the better graphics, has more characters. Extra characters actually. It's Oni Akuma, Evil Ryu, plus more.

Here's a funny gif animation I found on the Internet:

(It's like there's a big hole in you Web Browser! :D)

Duke Nukem Forever - Game Review

Well, it's more than the right time to review the "king".

It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all outta gum.

This game, in my opinion, was bad treated. "disillusion, frustration, blah blah blah".
Yeah, yeah. Now let's get serious. This game kicks ass.
It is frustrating, yes, I totally agree. But a "disillusion" and "bad jokes", I totally disagree.

This game actually has it's big story, but this is a review, not a documentary.
This game to 15 years to be finished, not because developers actually took that long, but because there was some serious problems going on. And, it gets worse, everytime they thought that they could release it, they launched a trailer. There was in total of 3/4 "fake trailers" on PC Gamer and/or E3.

Thay always said: "Always bet on Duke."

I disagree, disappointments are warned, but not for the game's quality but for the false announcements.

Regardless the background story, this game is actually very nice.
You go around in First Person, shooting pigcops and other foes, while having a gazillion of Easter Eggs and references around you.

And yes,... raise the myths ... Nude breasts are all there, I already got way more than "pair". (And an alienistic group of 3.... weird...)

Classic enemies were remaked, so as new ones. There are level bosses and, well, "mini-bosses".

Through all the trailers, you can actually see some evolution in graphics. I personally like the graphics from 2001.

The story is the same as the original, except that this is the "rise". Aliens came back, so as Duke.

Weapons go from the Golden Duke's Pistol to Railgun to The Devastator.
The Devastator is of course only used in bosses.

Oh, yeah, talking about bosses, eh...

It took me over 4 months to kill the Octaking in the second round (And the last :D).  Maybe because I spent a lot of time without playing it.
I like how Duke Nukem, after killing him, says: "There's only one king, you fuck.".
You can't imagine the joy I felt after kicking that shitbag's ass.

Hope there's going to be another Duke Nukem soon.

Cubic Ninja for 3DS - Game Review

This game isn't recent, but I, about 2 months ago, bought it. I'm loving it. I keep playing, playing and playing. It's a very good game.

The game isn't very famous at all, but that doesn't change the quality. It was recognized for being the first 3DS game that, while playing, didn't display images on 3D. Well, only if you choose tilt mode.
When playing the game for the first time, I hated the fact that you had to tilt to move the ninja. But then, by searching in the options menu, I discovered that it could be played by using the Circle Pad, which is awesome.

The gameplay and style is really great. You tilt to move or move the Circle Pad and change your 3D Position (Go far or come closer) using the X Button. There's also a level editor. Sadly, you can only save 3 levels. You can also share them with QR Codes. There are enemies, spikes, switches. Classic stuff. It also as a somewhat busy environment.

The story is also very interesting. A princess was kidnapped and you, the ninja, have to save her. And prepare to get more Super Mario parodies. Story gets funnier and funnier through the game.

Bosses are also very creative. Right in the last level of the first section you'll get a cubic dog called Woofbot. Yeah, weird name. But I'm not going to make more spoilers.

I honestly really like the rubber ninja. I think it gets harder to play but that ninja is funny. He makes really weird noises when standing still. Their deaths are very, well, cubic. Yes, that's a joke, poor, but that's what I can get. Stuff starts getting a bit harder when you start the second section/chapter of levels.

The music of the second, well, section of levels, is really addictive. It's stuck on my head, just like the theme song of the game. That classic Asian kind of music. I really love it.

Street Fighter - The Movie - Movie Review

Since I was a kid I was never a Street Fighter fan, I was more like a Mortal Kombat fanboy. But since I got Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition for the Nintendo 3DS, I never stopped thinking about the game. So I though it was a good time to watch the film again, because I didn't understand everything the first time I saw it.
Of course now I got everything, and I honestly loved it.

Yeah, I also think that M. Bison's machine (or whatever it is) looks like Eggman's.
The story is based on Street Fighter 2, a game that came out for arcade machines, the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis.
So General M. Bison is trying to rule the world. Not lucky for him, he has a big amount of fighters against him. Of course he is not alone. He has his workers, like Dee Jay or Zangief (Zangief apparently didn't really get paid), and some people who were  interested in making business with him.
Bison had Guile, Chan Li, Cammy, Ryu, Ken and more after him for their own reasons.

In the movie you'll clearly see how Blanka was "made". By changing Charles Blanka body into a monster/weapon. Blanka is bad and good at the same time because Dhalsim, when the process of transformation was 49% percent complete, changed the images that were changing Blanka's mind, from Bad to Good. So Blanka is somewhat Neutral.

Of course there are some  disappointments, for example, in the whole movie, I didn't saw a single Hadouken, Guile's hair was totally different, and the only special movement effect I saw, was M. Bison's electric shocks coming out of his body. Well, I think that's when he gets the Psycho Power. But I don't want to spoil.

There's a lot to talk about the movie, and there are some very funny parts. Example is when M. Bison gives Sagat money in exchange for weapons, and the money was made by Bison. That's when he said that each Bison (or whatever) is worth 5 pounds or so. That, after Bison kidnaps the Queen of England. (Just a joke from the movie)

Another funny quote is when Bison, after wishing so much to fight with Guile, says, and I quote: "You have made me a very happy man" and Guile says: "And next, I'll make a dead one.".

The Girl Next Door - Movie Review

Wow. I was just watching the Hollywood Channel, and they played this movie. It's actually, in fact, a very great movie. You might think that I consider every movie great, but no, there are some I really hate, but that's another thing. This is the cover:
Hey, I know that the cover is weird, but the movie is great.
The plot goes like this:

Matthew Kidman (Emile Hirsch) falls in love with the girl that live in the next door. Since the beginning you'll get the fact that is not a very active person.
Matthew's class was full of jorks and "hot chicks". Most of them, while they were supposed to be on class, gone to the beach.
The girl that lives next door, Danielle (Elisha Cuthbert) caught Matthew looking at here window while undressing. Quickly after Matthew's being caught, Danielle dresses up, and goes to his house. His parents opened the door to her, and called Matthew to go downstairs. Well after sometime, Matt's parents ask him if he could make her meet the city better (She was new to the city). The girl and him start having weird late-night adventures.
Later, Matthew discovers that she was actually a Porn Star.
And the story goes like this, until he starts having some problems with Kelly (dude)... no spoilers, right?!

The movie really surprised me at the ending, but I shouldn't make any spoilers.

There's actually a thing that I noticed, which is the fact that the movie has some really great ideas that could be better explored instead of just being a 5 min. joke. Like when Matt's friends, Eli (Chris Marquette) and Klitz (Paul Dano), start doing sh*t in Las Vegas. They could extend that, but, yeah, it's a movie, not a documentary (In terms of length).

Well then that's it. My second failed attempt to review a movie that I actually liked. No, of course, it's not one of my favorite movies, but I really like it. I'll might later say what's my favorite movie...

Mind Hunters - Movie Review

In the other week I saw a movie that wasn't really recent, but I had never watched it. It was MindHunters. It's great.

The movie had some of my favorite things. From psychology, puzzle, suspence, etc.

The Plot
So, a team of trainees were going to an unknown and empty island. (When saying "empty", I mean the fact that nobody lived there)
It was part of a very criticized program called FBI  Psychological Profiling Program, used to get deeper into their traumas and problems.
After getting there they notice that the program wasn't quite what they expected.

(Yes, I know, I am not good at writing plots, but that's the beginning of the movie...)

The movie later goes far what I expected, better.
So, be ready to watch some horrible deaths.
FYI: There are almost no jumpscares...

The Cast
Actors were also very well chosen.
From Val Kilmer, famous for being Batman in Batman Forever, Kathryn Morris, famous for being Lily in Cold Case, "LL Cool J", famous for being Detective Sam Hanna in NCIS: Los Angeles. It was a very cool movie (small spoiler) great ending.

The Mood
The movie has it's own mood, getting from dark and rainy, to plot twist and  suspense.
When the clock gets to the "special" hour, I started getting a little curious to see the next death.

What it's based
That city was full of traps.
Sara (Kathryn Morris) discovered that the traps were based in what those people fear or mostly wish.

Effects (Spoiler Alert)
Deaths, like Nicole's, were really great. All the acid burning her body slowly were really well made.
The dead cat at the beginning of the movie was really well made, but it also somewhat looked like a puppet. The blood in the dead cat was, in my opinion, too bright. There were also other great effect moments like when Vince (Clifton Collins Jr.) died, all blood splashes were really awesome.

It's really one of my favorite movies, I really enjoyed watching it. I watched it at night, right before watching another movie. But that movie is another thing...

Poor Tom Clancy :(

THOMAS LEO "TOM" CLANCY, JR (Born April 12, 1947, Died October 1, 2013)....

I think that as a gamer I have post some thoughts about Tom Clancy because he made my favorite stealth game : Splinter Cell.

To start off... I have never read a Tom Clancy book, maybe I will in the future.

Well, before receiving the news, I was basically doing some writings, until for some reason I looked at the TV. That was it, when the news came by. Funny how Portuguese news didn't really talk about it...

For those who don't know, Tom Clancy was a famous writer. He didn't really write the Splinter Cell books and so... Various writers wrote for those books, but all used the same pseudonym - David Michaels -

In 1990, Tom Clancy co-founded the company Red Storm which developed great games about Tom's ideas and stories. It was later bought by Ubisoft.

And that's not just it, Tom Clancy was also the writer of many great movies like The Sum Of All Fears with Morgan Freeman and Ben Affleck.

There's another interesting thing which is the fact that Tom was the only of three authors that sold two million copies in 1990 as of the first printing. The others were J.K. Rowling and John Grisham.

I could tell you more about Tom Clancy but to really get more deep information go to his Wikipedia Page or his Website.

-Thanks a lot :) -

I'm back... not really

Call this a misleading title?! Ahah. Well, I am at FNAC store, here in Portugal, using a MackBook Air.
It's awesome. I love this computer,  it's genius. But the problem is that, even though I love writing  and in my opinion, MacBook Air is the best choice for a writer, I'm mainly a programmer, and Windows Developer, and I could not afford it. Like I said, I am going to try selling my writings. I will try telling here everything about it. :)
